Fueled by a lifelong passion for the music industry, Matt Yorio made the move from a small town in Upstate New York to Los Angeles to chase his dreams. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Music Industry, followed by a Master’s in Communication Management, focusing on Strategic Public Relations, from the University of Southern California.

Matt began his career at AEG Live, where he contributed to the marketing efforts for major events and tours, including Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball Tour, Stagecoach, and Coachella. He then transitioned to Universal Music Group, gaining invaluable insights into the record label process and playing a role in high-profile artist campaigns. His work included analyzing public response to Taylor Swift’s Speak Now album, contributing to strategic decisions that shaped its success.

Eager to shift into talent representation, Matt joined MLC PR as an assistant to the president. He quickly ascended to the role of Vice President of Publicity and Brand Consulting, where he was instrumental in expanding the firm’s music division and representing both emerging and established artists. His expertise in navigating the rapidly changing media landscape, coupled with extensive industry connections, resulted in Grammy wins, millions of Spotify streams, and lucrative brand partnerships for his clients. Recognizing the rising influence of social media, Matt also played a key role in developing some of the most notable digital creators, and helped broaden the firm’s international presence with the opening of their London office.

After nearly a decade at MLC PR, Matt co-founded Elite PR with Nilda Carrazana, embarking on an exciting new chapter in his career. His journey, characterized by experience, passion, and ambition, has solidified his reputation as a respected leader in entertainment publicity.
